Channel 4 has commissioned two new series of the crafting competition Kirstie's Handmade Christmas for the 2026 and 2027 festive seasons. The daytime format is produced by Glasgow based Raise the Roof Productions. Kirstie Allsopp returns as the host of the series.

The upcoming five part series consists of one hour episodes filmed in Devon. Contestants compete in challenges involving Christmas wreath making, homemade cakes and handcrafted toys to determine a winner in each episode. The format includes a combination of competition and instructional segments where Allsopp demonstrates cost effective crafts for home viewers. Industry specialists provide judging and demonstrate craft hacks throughout the production.

The commission was handled by Senior Commissioning Editor Clemency Green and Director of Commissioning, Nations and Regions and Head of Lifestyle Jo Street. Sarah Walmsley serves as executive producer for Raise the Roof Productions, with Laura Harding acting as series producer. The production company is currently accepting contestant applications via email.

The series will be broadcast on Channel 4 and made available on the network's streaming platform. The production focuses on makers from across the UK. The series will feature a designated Christmas HQ used for the end of series events. This represents a multi year commitment to the festive crafting slot on the broadcaster's daytime schedule.
