BBC One and BBC iPlayer have commissioned the 21st series of Celebrity MasterChef. The format, produced by Shine TV, returns with a five week competition featuring contestants from the music, drama, comedy, and sport sectors. The series structure concludes with a single winner who receives the Celebrity MasterChef trophy.

The first heat of the competition includes Olympic weightlifter and medallist Emily Campbell. Campbell joins the cast following the previous victory of athlete Kadeena Cox. Other contestants confirmed for the opening week of the series include Jason Mohammad, Shakira Khan, Joe Pasquale, and Jay McGuiness.

The production utilizes a standard competition format where celebrities undergo a series of culinary challenges to determine the champion. Campbell has stated her experience cooking for athletes during training camps and her background in Caribbean cuisine as primary influences for her participation. The series continues to operate as a hybrid broadcast and digital release across the BBC's linear and streaming platforms.

The production is a collaboration between the BBC and Shine TV. This marks the 21st time the celebrity iteration of the MasterChef brand has been produced for the BBC.
