BBC One will broadcast a week of anniversary programming for The One Show starting Monday 10 August at 7pm. The series of specials marks twenty years since the programme first aired. The anniversary week concludes on Friday 14 August with an extended hour long special titled The One Show at 20. Former presenters Matt Baker and Christine Lampard will return for the episode, which also features a film contributed by Adrian Chiles and a live music guest.

Commissioning editor Alex McLeod and editor Joanne Vaughan-Jones confirmed the schedule includes a look back at previous campaigns and contributors. The programming includes a report from Angellica Bell in Birmingham regarding the origins of the show. The production team also noted the inclusion of footage from the Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann and a partial solar eclipse.
