BBC Two and BBC iPlayer will launch a revamped version of Strictly - It Takes Two this September with Ellie Taylor as the new host. The series replaces former presenters Janette Manrara and Fleur East. Production for the 2026 season will take place at Elstree Studios, where new episodes will premiere every weeknight.

The updated format includes a new alumni panel and group discussions featuring celebrities and professional dancers without their partners. Vicky Gill returns to provide costume design commentary. The production will continue to feature training room VTs, interviews, and official announcements. Helen Munson, BBC Commissioning Editor, confirmed the appointment of Ellie Taylor to lead the companion series for the autumn schedule.

BBC Studios Entertainment is producing the series. Rhe-an Archibald serves as Executive Producer and Richard Berkshire is the Series Editor. The production incorporates deep dive segments focused on the creative processes behind the main show performances.

The program serves as the official companion to Strictly Come Dancing. It will be available via linear broadcast on BBC Two and via streaming on BBC iPlayer.
