BBC Three and BBC iPlayer will premiere series 8 of RuPaul's Drag Race UK on Thursday 3 September. The broadcaster has confirmed a guest judging panel comprising Thandiwe Newton, Anne-Marie, Cat Burns, Kadiff Kirwan, Layton Williams, Martin Fry, Michèle Lamy, Michelle de Swarte, and Rick Astley. These guest judges will join the permanent panel of Alan Carr, Graham Norton, and Michelle Visage.
The series follows the established format where RuPaul and the judging panel critique a new cast of contestants. Guest judges are tasked with deliberating on the performance of the queens during the competition. Kadiff Kirwan, known for the series Slow Horses, is among the celebrity additions to the panel for this production cycle.
Episodes will be released on BBC iPlayer from 7pm before airing on BBC Three at 9pm every Thursday. The broadcast schedule places the series in a weekly appointment viewing slot for the autumn season.
The production maintains the core judging structure of previous series with the return of Alan Carr, Graham Norton, and Michelle Visage. The series premieres on 3 September.
