BBC One and BBC iPlayer have released the official artwork and a trailer for the fourth series of Blue Lights. The commission consists of six 60 minute episodes scheduled for broadcast this autumn. Stephen Wright of Two Cities Television and Louise Gallagher of Gallagher Films also hold co creator and executive producer credits. Brendan Mullin is the producer for this series.
The cast includes Siân Brooke, Martin McCann, Katherine Devlin, and Nathan Braniff. Richard Dormer returns for a single episode. Direction is split between two filmmakers, with Angela Griffin directing episodes one through three and Sam O'Mahony directing episodes four through six.
The series was commissioned by BBC Drama Director Lindsay Salt. Nick Lambon serves as the executive producer for the BBC. BBC Studios manages global sales for the fourth series and all preceding seasons. The program has been sold in more than 160 territories.
