Channel 4 has commissioned Billionaires W/T, a three part factual drama focusing on the impact of Big Tech and disinformation on global democracies. The series is produced by Halcyons Heart Films, the production company behind Dirty Business (2026) and Partygate (2023). Each of the three episodes will run for 60 minutes.

The production is written and directed by Joe Bullman. The narrative utilizes real world evidence to document the experiences of creators, victims, and the owners of social media platforms. The script focuses on the role of algorithms in mental health and the internal efforts of individuals attempting to expose the operational mechanics of these corporations. Aysha Rafaele serves as executive producer on the project.

The commission was overseen by Rita Daniels, Commissioning Editor for Documentaries, and Alisa Pomeroy, Head of Documentaries and Factual Entertainment at Channel 4. The series follows a recent legal settlement where Meta agreed to pay up to 18 billion dollars to resolve a US court case concerning child safety on Facebook and Instagram.

The project is a factual drama that uses human stories to examine the influence of technology companies. Halcyons Heart Films has previously delivered political content for the broadcaster. The series consists of three 60 minute episodes.
