BBC Three and iPlayer have appointed YouTuber NikkieTutorials as the host of Glow Up for its eighth series. She replaces supermodel Leomie Anderson, who is stepping down after three seasons as the primary presenter. The appointment was confirmed by BBC commissioning editor Carl Callam and Wall to Wall executive producer Melissa Brown.
NikkieTutorials has previously appeared on the series as a guest judge. She has worked as a make-up artist and content creator for 16 years. Leomie Anderson served as the longest running host in the history of the format. She hosted the competition alongside permanent judges Val Garland and Dominic Skinner.
The series is produced by Wall to Wall. It follows aspiring make-up artists through a series of creative challenges to determine a winner. Leomie Anderson announced her departure via a video addressed to the show's audience.
The production continues to utilize the same judging panel of Val Garland and Dominic Skinner. Glow Up is a competition series commissioned for the BBC.
