Channel 4 has commissioned a new series of Tempting Fortune hosted by Rob Beckett. The production features twelve contestants undertaking a thirteen day trek through the tropics of Langkawi, Malaysia. Participants compete for a share of a £300,000 prize fund.

The format requires contestants to survive on basic rations while facing various temptations. Any money spent on these luxury experiences is deducted from the total shared prize pot. This series introduces a mechanic where the contestants are divided into two separate groups from the start of the competition.

The cast includes Charlotte, a performer from a London family attraction, and Lady Cressida, the daughter of the late Earl of Dudley and Maureen Swanson. Lady Cressida previously worked in pharmaceutical PR and communications. The lineup also includes Jack, a university student currently taking a gap year from medical studies.

The series follows a structure where individual spending decisions directly impact the final payout for the remaining group members. The production takes place in the jungle environment of Malaysia. The prize fund starts at £300,000.
