BBC iPlayer has acquired the adult animated series Krapopolis from FOX Entertainment Global. The series is now available for streaming in the UK. The BBC has also released the first episode of the show on YouTube.
Created by Dan Harmon, the series is produced by Bento Box Entertainment and owned by FOX Entertainment. The plot focuses on a family of humans, gods, and monsters managing one of the first cities in mythical ancient Greece. The voice cast includes Hannah Waddingham, Richard Ayoade, Matt Berry, Pam Murphy, and Duncan Trussell.
The acquisition of Krapopolis coincides with the addition of three other adult animation titles to the BBC iPlayer library. These titles are Adventure Time, Regular Show, and Ten Year Old Tom.
The BBC purchased the rights to the series from FOX Entertainment Global for distribution on its digital platform. The show features a cast of actors known for roles in Ted Lasso and The IT Crowd. Krapopolis is the first project from Dan Harmon to arrive on the platform since his previous work on Rick and Morty. The series is currently live on the BBC iPlayer service.
