The BBC has signed a three year agreement to broadcast the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) in the UK from 2027 through to 2029. The deal includes live coverage of every round of the global motorsport series. Production will be a joint collaboration between BBC Scotland, BBC Cymru Wales, and BBC Northern Ireland.

The broadcasting package comprises five live stages and the Power Stage for every WRC round. The BBC will also produce fourteen 60 minute highlights programmes per season. All content will be available on BBC iPlayer, and the agreement includes digital rights for distribution across other BBC platforms.

The contract specifically includes the return of Rally Scotland to the WRC calendar. The Aberdeenshire based event makes its debut in the championship in 2027. The BBC will provide live coverage of this event across all four days of competition. Rhuanedd Richards, Director of BBC Nations, stated that teams from Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland will produce the coverage. Éric Boullier, CEO of WRC Promoter, confirmed the partnership provides the championship access to the broadcaster's television, digital, and social platforms.

This agreement marks the first time the UK has hosted a WRC round since 2019.
