Bangers & Cash had an episode air on Thursday, October 8, 2026 at 8:00pm. Series 14, Episode 12 titled "Mercedes 380SL, Vauxhall, Talbot Sunbeam Lotus" was broadcast on U&Yesterday.

Derek stands before a restored Mercedes SL, the car he once knew and lost. It is the spine of the episode, a reunion that carries the weight of memory rather than mere mechanics. Elsewhere, Paul brings a historic rally car into his orbit, its provenance likely to spark a familiar debate over authenticity versus performance. The Vauxhall VX, a 1974 model, completes the trio, finding a final owner at a price that will raise eyebrows in the classic car community. Three distinct narratives, three different relationships with metal and history. The Mercedes sits there, restored to its former glory, waiting for Derek to decide if the car is still the one he remembers.

Derek discovers the holy grail of Austin Mini barn finds, a rare and valuable 1965 Cooper "S" 1275cc. The car has been hidden in a garage full of rubbish for 30 years and appears to be a worthless rusty wreck, but on auction day it generates a flood of interest and a bidding war among classic Mini enthusiasts. Meanwhile, faced with a deadline to get a late entry into the auction catalogue, Paul decides he'd like a Bentley Continental for himself and attempts to persuade his wife it would be perfect for the school run. And a fan of 1950's Americana faces a difficult choice as two Chevy Stepside pickup trucks go under the hammer.
