Spy Next Door: The Anna Chapman Story had an episode air on Thursday, August 13, 2026 at 9:00pm. Series 1, Episode 2 titled "Episode 2" was broadcast on Channel 4.
The FBI discloses that Anna Chapman is merely a node in a sprawling network of Russian agents operating across the United States. As President Obama concludes diplomatic talks with Putin, a swarm of officers descends on the network, triggering one of history’s largest spy exchanges. Simultaneously, a spate of suspicious deaths among UK residents with Russian links prompts a retaliatory expulsion. Ten Russian officers are sent packing, including Chapman, a move that lands badly in Moscow. The swap is not a single transaction but a simultaneous dismantling of a web, with diplomatic fallout echoing across the Atlantic. The specific weight of the operation lies in its scale and the immediate, sharp diplomatic recoil it provokes in the Kremlin.
